Call for workshops

eCAADe 2026 at Technische Hochschule Lübeck invites researchers, educators, and practitioners to propose educational hands-on workshops for the pre-conference days. Workshops are a central part of the eCAADe program and offer an ideal space to share tools, methods, and hands-on expertise with the community. We welcome proposals from all areas of computational design, digital fabrication, artificial intelligence and education related to the realm of design and architecture.

Workshop format and details

Workshop venue

  • Technische Hochschule Lübeck, Building E1, Stephensonstr. 1-3, 23562 Lübeck, Germany

Workshop dates

  • Workshop days: Monday 7 September, 2026 and Tuesday 8 September, 2026

Duration of the workshops

  • workshops may take at least half a day or up to the full 2 days of the workshop time

Available spaces and resources (on-site)

  • 4 seminar spaces (20 persons) and 2 computer labs (15 persons) are available during the workshop days
  • KUKA robots / JAKA robot (please contact us for details)
  • no funding will be available for the workshops
  • workshop providers will not receive any compensation from the eCAADe organisers

Online workshops

  • online workshops may be admitted but on-site workshops will take preference

Participation

  • Participation in the workshops will be free of charge, but does not include a free conference participation, neither for participants nor for workshop providers.
  • Interested persons will apply to the workshop providers directly and will get notification from them. Details for sign-up will provided on the respective workshop site.

Proposal (before 15 June, 2026)

Please send us a proposal to workshop@ecaade2026.eu including the following information:

  • Title of the workshop
  • Name and institution of the workshop provider
  • Duration of the workshop (dates and times)
  • Required resources (spaces, computer lab, robots, software installations)
  • Description of the workshop (300 words, including prerequisites of the participants if applicable)
  • Picture representing the workshop (advertising purposes)

We will notify the providers about the acceptance of workshops by 1 July, 2026
